Watkins Real Estate Group is the real estate arm of Watkins Associated Industries, Inc., a 77 year old privately held firm based in Atlanta, Georgia.  Watkins Real Estate Group in turn is comprised of two separate real estate operating companies:  Watkins Retail Group and Wilwat Properties, Inc.

Watkins Retail Group, headed by Neal and Lee Freeman, is a retail/commercial development, leasing and management company founded in 1977.  For more than 30 years, Watkins Retail Group has maintained close, on-going relationships with major retailers, their closest relationship being with Publix Supermarkets. Watkins Retail Group has developed more than 50 Publix anchored shopping centers throughout the Southeast.  

Wilwat Properties, headed by Kim Watkins, is one of the Southeast's leading multi-family residential real estate companies.  The names of all of Wilwat's apartment home communities begin with the word "Tree", to reflect the firm's commitment to create heavily wooded and landscaped properties.  Wilwat currently manages and leases approximately 3,000 units at six different Tree Communities which the firm has constructed.
